China Construction Bank ("CCB"), formerly known as the People's Construction Bank of China, has been incorporated in China on 1 October, 1954. CCB is a state-owned bank operating in commercial banking activities.

CCB is one of the four largest banks in China. CCB has an extensive network in China, with more than 25,700 branches.

CCB's objective is to develop into a universal bank, providing total banking services to customers through an effective combination of international practices tailored to the Chinese environment and structure. CCB intends to pursue its objective by striving to maintain a strong domestic market leadership position in the areas of corporate banking, retail banking and investment banking services. The bank will also continue to improve its asset quality and credit and funding portfolio structures.
